Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities Global provides families with stability and resources, helping over nine million children around the world every year. Whether their problems involve how to stay near and support a hospitalized child, how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment, or even getting basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community. They not only help families address these problems, they provide solutions for these and other issues related to the health and wellbeing of the children. Learn more about the Global RMHC organization by visiting, www.rmhc.org.

In the Dallas/Fort Worth market, there is a Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and a Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth. Each House has 58 family guestrooms to help keep families together while an ill child is receiving treatment at area medical facilities. Thousands of families are helped each year between both Houses and often families stay at the Houses for weeks and months. No family is required to pay anything to stay at an RMH, although they are asked to contribute up to $20 per night stay. The inability to pay does not impact eligibility to stay at the Houses.

ChildCareGroup

ChildCareGroup operates six model child development centers, serving nearly 600 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers for little or no cost to their families. Located in East and South Dallas, Oak Cliff, Irving, and Garland.

Annually, this program subsidizes the cost of child care for nearly 25,000 children from low-income families.  Children enrolled in our child development centers and contracted licensed and registered family child care homes receive two-thirds of their recommended nutritional daily allowances.

as those provided by ChildCareGroup, yields a return of more than $3.50 to the community.
